Who We Are

American Hospitality Group, Inc. (formerly American Health Care Centers, Inc.) was established in 1972. We are a family-owned and operated company providing hospitality & other services. American Hospitality Group, Inc. has managed hotel properties since 2000 when we opened our first Holiday Inn Express in Wadsworth, Ohio. Since then we have opened the Galaxy Restaurant and additional hotels within Ohio and surrounding states. We are a growing company focused on the hospitality industry, developing quality brands in prime locations. 

From the beginning, we have focused our efforts on superior products and service to our clients and customers. Our continued growth and success illustrates the receptiveness to our business approach, commitment to quality service and dedication to meeting our customers’ needs.

Our Values

Across our locations, we have about 350 total employees in various full and part-time positions. We operate 8 hotels and 1 full-service restaurant and pride ourselves on being a local company - we operate all of our locations within 100 miles of our corporate offices.

Our core value is Customer Service. We believe in treating every customer like a VIP, every guest, every day. As a family-owned company, we all grew up knowing the importance of customer service and the related success you will have or not if you do the right thing. Those individuals who excel with us are recognized and promoted whenever possible. We provide the necessary training and then trust our employees to use their creativity and hard work to reach their goals in alignment with AHG.

We’re focused on the employee’s work experience. Each location champions keeping employee culture at high levels, which involves events and activities for the staff. We also pride ourselves on being sensitive to everyone's work/life schedules and want people to enjoy things outside of work. We are flexible with schedules and work towards a common-sense approach.

We won the Torchbearer Award from IHG Hotels in 2016 for the Holiday Inn Express Wadsworth, and the Spirit of True Hospitality Award from IHG for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Medina Ohio in 2021. The Galaxy restaurant has been awarded the Award of Excellence for the wine list every year since 2002 and the Best Award of Excellence since 2016 for the wine list from Wine Spectator magazine.
