About Apostolic Christian Skylines

Our Team

Our Reputation: Over 100 Years of Excellent Care

Apostolic Christian Skylines is deeply rooted in the Peoria community. We first opened our doors in 1912 as the Apostolic Christian Home at 711 North Monroe Street. In 1966, we moved to our current location at 7023 NE Skylines Drive where we now serve Central Illinois as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).

Apostolic Christian Skylines is a non-profit organization and is owned by the Apostolic Christian Church of Peoria with additional support provided by the Princeville and Bradford Apostolic Christian communities. These congregations, combined with a large group of dedicated individuals, faithfully support Skylines through their prayer, volunteer work, and financial support.

Apostolic Christian Skylines is governed by an active board of directors. This volunteer board meets regularly with the executive director to review financial, operational, and long-range issues. Governance is local—not from a remotely located corporate office.

Person-Centered Care: We Focus on the Whole Person

At Apostolic Christian Skylines, our residents and their family members are involved in decisions about the resident’s care. Care planning gives careful consideration to social, mental and spiritual factors, as well as the resident’s strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and values. Our goal is to help our residents maintain their health, well-being and quality of life while providing them the assistance they require.

Our Caring Staff: People Make All the Difference

Apostolic Christian Skylines has a long-standing reputation of providing the highest quality care in Central Illinois. We are blessed with a trustworthy and loyal staff of nursing and healthcare professionals; many who believe God has called them and given them a passion to care for the elderly. Skylines is a peaceful and nurturing environment that preserves the dignity and respect for each resident. Families tell us about the exceptional quality of life their loved one receives while at our home.

Five-Star Rating: The Highest Rating for Quality
