Apostolic Christian Skylines Home Care provides caring services in a variety of situations and settings.

Apostolic Christian Skylines Home Care is the community outreach arm of Apostolic Christian Skylines. Our sole focus is to bring Skylines’ 104-year tradition of care into the homes of older adults in Peoria and surrounding counties — with a full spectrum of in-home care services. 

• Older adults living at home who need help with the activities of daily living
• Adults of any age following hospitalization or surgery—when walking, standing or driving may be difficult
• People with disabilities
• Hospice patients
• Assisted living residents who may need more assistance, whether temporary or long term
• People with chronic medical conditions that cause fatigue, weakness or general need for assistance
• Individuals learning to live with a long illness or disability
• Older adults whose family caregivers need short-term relief to go grocery shopping, run errands, meet with friends or take a few days off
• People with more complex medical needs who sometimes need the services or oversight of a nurse

Some of the caregiving services we provide include:

• Bathing, hair care and skin care assistance
• Dressing assistance
• Assistance with ambulation and exercise
• Shaving and nail care assistance
• Assistance with personal hygiene
• Dementia care
• Medication reminders
• Menu planning, meal preparation and clean-up
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry and ironing
• Companionship and socialization

For situations where the care or supervision of a Registered Nurse is required, we can provide:

• Medication set-ups
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Other skilled nursing tasks
• Case management
• Home health aide services, including monitoring and reporting vital signs and feeding assistance
