We are family oriented with a “we’ve got your back” type of mentality. Even though we are a large group, everyone knows everyone because we all are working together towards the same goal. Management is accessible at AutoStar, unlike other large corporations. You’ll never feel like just a number here.
“September 2011 is when I started my journey with Autostar. The first role I held was Business Development Coordinator in our growing internet department. At the time, I had 6 years of industry experience in other roles as well as BDC. During my tenure, my direct supervisor recognized my want and willingness to learn and took special interest in helping cultivate my talents as well as identify my growing opportunities. Multiple training classes were held and topics were tailored to each agent depending on where the need for improvement presented which made all the difference in my career advancement. After 2 years of dedication with that department, an opportunity came for me to try sales at our Canton location. In a few short months, I recognized that my next goal would be to earn a management position and run a store of my own. Even with my impatience, I knew that in order to be an effective leader, I first had to be an effective follower so for the next year and half I trained, researched, and committed my time and attention to learning the business from the sales consultant role. In July of 2016,my hard work paid off and the chance finally came for me to try my hand in a leadership and management position at the same store I had devoted my sales experience to for the previous few years. Since then, I have held management roles with Autostar of Asheville and now my current home, Autostar of Sylva. I have worked for other dealers in the area and without a doubt, the willingness to teach and advance from within is a priority and I am thankful for the career advancement that has been afforded to me. This year marks my 8th year of commitment to Autostar and I am confident they will continue to invest in me as a person and as a professional just as I have them as my work family and company partnership.”
“My career with AutoStar started in early August of 2018 with no prior experience selling cars or knowledge of the market. After my interview with the General Manager I was given the opportunity to start the training process and learn the skills and process required to succeed in this field. With what I was learning I sold 3 cars in August without finishing the training course. My first full quarter of working I averaged at least 12 cars a month and was awarded Employee of the Quarter to receive an additional bonus! Starting this job I had no degree and no experience with jobs that, even with my hard work, were not allowing me to further myself. What I did have was a willingness to succeed and the drive to use the skills and process to my advantage to make the best of what I had. AutoStar gives you what you need as long as you are willing to work hard and use what is around you. I'm glad to be working here and plan to be here a long time!”
