Berry Companies, Inc. is a family owned and operated company offering sales, service and rental of small to large construction equipment. We operate in 8 states, across 42 locations, and specialize in Bobcat, Komatsu and Hyster-Yale equipment. But what really makes us special is that as large as we have grown, we are still very much a family company, and employees come first. The Berry family will always choose what is right over what is profitable, and we truly believe that family comes first. Our employees have very long tenure – many of our current employees have been with us for 25+ years. One employee just retired after working for Berry Companies for 62 years.

Berry Companies pariticipates greatly in the communities in which we do business. Our employees are highly involved with United Way, Heartspring, Mark Arts, and many other local organizations. The Berry Foundation supports numerous organizations, as well as youth theater programs, local universities, and many others. Walter and Fred Berry have both served as presidents of the national Association of Equipment Distributors, and Walter has served on the Wichita Chamber of Commerce for a number of years. Berry Companies also supports Executive Women International with an annual luncheon, and hosts events for Women in Construction in Wichita. Fred has served on the boards for Wesley Medical Center, Heartspring, United Way and the Chamber of Commerce.

Berry Companies was started by brothers Fred and Paul Berry in 1957 when they purchased the Sam H. Denney Road Machinery Co and renamed it Berry Tractor and Equipment Co. In 1962 the brothers acquired White Star Machinery which had been founded in 1910. In 1975 Berry Material Handling was formed to specialize in lift trucks and other material handling equipment. Over time, Berry Companies added Bobcat of Houston, K.C. Bobcat, Bobcat of North Texas, Bobcat of the Rockies and Bobcat of Atlanta/Huntsville, filling out our current 8 divisions. Fred Berry is currently Chairman of the company, while his son, Walter Berry, serves as CEO.
