Bill Talley Ford, lnc. began business in 1972, serving the Richmond Virginia area for over 46 years now. William H. "Bill" Talley, Jr. bought out Layfield Ford, which had been in the Sandston area for many years. ln March of I981, we moved from our original location on Williamsburg Road to our Laburnam Ave location. ln 1988, Bill Talley Ford built a 17,000-square-foot facility that now houses our state-of-the-art body shop and our used car department. This addition also allowed our parts and service departments to expand in size. Over the years, many improvements have been made to our facilities. In May of 2012, we opened our new Ford Dealership in Mechanicsville, with a new Quick Lane facility & showroom. A few years later, in February of 2016, we opened another new Quick Lane facility at our Laburnum location.
Bill Talley Ford's success over the years, has been because of our employees who have offered a consistently high level of customer service. Throughout the years, we have been the leader of the Richmond Metro Ford Car Dealers in Q.C.P, including in 1994, when we were the first Ford dealer to ever achieve the Chairman's Award in Richmond, which is the highest honor award.
We're continuously involved in mentorship and Ford educational program at Highland Springs ACE Center with Henrico County public schools, and sponsor Little League teams at Mechanicsville and King William. Additionally, we've co-sponsored a First Responder event, sponsored Drive for Your School and Drive for Your Community events, and co-sponsored a hurricane relief event in 2018 for North Carolina.
