Employee Success Stories

"I had graduated Mid-Plains Community College with an HVAC/R diploma, interned twice and got let go both times due to business slow down due to COVID-19. September 21, 2020 I was let go from my last internship for HVAC at AJ Sheet Metal due to how slow business was, after that being the second time, I had been let go in the HVAC field as a new intern while learning I figured I would try a change of paths and find a job I think I would enjoy, and as fast as I could being 19 years old and independent. October 21st, exactly a month after I was let go, I showed up for my first day at Cornhusker International in North Platte. To be bluntly honest, this job for me has had the best work environment I have had since I started working when I turned 14. Everyone gets along, I can see eye to eye with my Boss on everything, I have made some mistakes but we are all human and we just have to learn from them. At 19, finding this job has been the best thing I could have done. There honestly hasn’t been one day I have woken up and not wanted to go to work due to the environment other than being sick. I can see myself here as a career, without second thoughts like previous jobs I have been at. I thank everyone for the opportunity I have had to grow and be employed at Cornhusker International."

Employee Success Stories

"I feel that my “story” with Cornhusker is a success.   I first applied as a shop tech and the GM, at the time,  wouldn’t hire me because we had an intern program at the time for diesel tech students.  After stopping in several times to talk to him hoping he would hire me, he said he would give me a shot in the parts department as a stocker and parts delivery driver.  I had worked parts in the past and agreed to the position.  That was almost 12 years ago!  Through my hard work and dedication I now hold a management title.  I may not be the best employee or manager that Cornhusker has, but I am very honored to of had the opportunities that Cornhusker International has given me!"
