At Friendly Chevrolet we are more than a business, we strive to be good neighbors and partners in our community. Therefore, we support various local organizations in order to give back and help better our community. We are especially proud of our support of the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Program”. Friendly Chevrolet has been the largest contributor in the state of Minnesota, for the last five years! We’re dedicated to helping make it so that no one — from survivors, to those currently undergoing treatment, to the more than 250,000 people who will be diagnosed this year — has to face breast cancer alone.

We recognize the greatest resource we have is our employees and we never take that for granted. We are very proud of our culture which largely comes from being a part of the Rydell Auto Group. The Rydell Auto Group was founded in 1954 and has grown into a group of 85 stores in 17 states! Our Founder, Leonard Rydell, had many strongly held business and personal philosophies that served him well. These philosophies, known as “Leonardism’s”, help guide us through our daily business and personal decisions. Some of our favorite “Leonardism’s” are…

Career Paths

Friendly Chevrolet is a one of a kind experience where individuals can learn the ins and outs of the auto industry and work there way up to becoming a general manager / dealer.

Rob Owens joined Friendly Chevrolet in 2000. He worked as a sales associate, finance manager, used car manager, general sales manager for a total of 19 years. Today Rob is the Executive General Manager of another Rydell Location, Ozark Chevrolet.

Brian Taylor joined Friendly Chevrolet in 2001. He worked as a sales associate, finance manager, used car manager, general sales manager for a total of 13 years. He then moved to Mason City Motor Company and was the Executive Manager there for 3 years. Today Brian is the Executive General Manager of another Rydell Location, Mankato Motors.
