History
Created in 2006 by businessman and hospitality entrepreneur, Ty Hauter, the company has rapidly grown to own and operate numerous unique establishments. Good Time Design’s portfolio includes diverse restaurants, bars, and live music venues including current projects Moonshine Flats, Moonshine Beach, and The Blind Burro and past projects Wave House, Bootlegger, Bub’s at the Ballpark, and Typhoon Saloon.
2016 marked the opening of Good Time Design’s first venues outside of California: Cerveza Jack’s, a south-of-the-border live music eatery, as well as the acquisition of the former The George Jones, a four-story, 40,000 square foot entertainment venue, both residing in the heart of downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2018, the Good Time Design team’s ventures into artist development added to their growing presence in the entertainment and country music industry. The company welcomed Front St. Tavern, located in Franklin, Tennessee in 2019 and in 2020, introduced The Presley in San Diego, California, and Sonny’s Patio Pub & Refuge in the Germantown neighborhood of Nashville.
A second location of Cerveza Jack’s, focusing on Southern fare, opened in 2021 in the historic Gaslamp Quarter, as well as a second venue in Franklin, Tennessee called Coal Town Pizza & Public House.
So far in 2022, the Good Time Design group has welcomed three new venues in San Diego, CA (Go Go Amigo, Happy Does and Patrick’s) with plans to open another in the Midtown neighborhood in Nashville, TN.
