Our Story

H&K has been family owned and operated since 1960. Our employees, families, and customers are the focus of everything we do. 

Founded in 1960 by Kenneth B Winkle and Howard Halgbewoks, H&K Motors Sales Inc. was run by the two long-time friends as the local destination for new Chevrolet and AMC automobiles. In the early 70’s, Howard retired and Kenneth became full owner of H&K. Through the 80’s the AMC franchise gave way to Pontiac and Buick, and H&K Chevy/Pontiac/Buick Inc. was formed.

Over the years the automobile industry has seen many changes, but one that has stayed the same is H&K’s commitment to customers and its employees. H&K Chevrolet Inc. is still proudly owned by the Winkle family and has grown to include multiple dealerships in Ohio and Indiana. 

Our Team

H&K has been the winner of Chevrolet’s prestigious Mark of Excellence award over 15 times. This award recognizes the best in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. As of 2022, H&K ranks in the top 95% of all Chevrolet dealers for retail sales effectiveness, which factors in total sales and customer satisfaction. We also take being a community partner seriously -- all of these events and organizations support the local community and make our area a better place for kids and families:
