Who We Are

Hilton Garden Inn – Kitty Hawk is located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The Outer Banks is a one of a kind beach destination. It is unlike any other beach town. The rules are different out here; shaped by nature just like the Outer Banks were swept from the Atlantic Ocean.

The first colonists to settle the Americas only to mysteriously disappear. The first flight launched by two brothers, forever changing the trajectory of the human race. Cape Hatteras National Seashore, the first national seashore of its kind, complete with rolling sand dunes and a menagerie of wildlife. And still today, after hundreds of years, the Outer Banks has a way of changing people and opening their eyes to new experiences and passions in historic North Carolina.

For sure, there are many firsts still yet to come. Joining our team can be one of them! Apply to our open positions here to start your career with us.

Peggy Shen

Group Sales Coordinator

“I was an intern at the front desk and rotated 4 different departments to experience, to learn and to find where I want to be. Now, I'm a Group Sales Coordinator! For the third year of working here, I'm excited to see this company grow and I can grow together with. I enjoy working in a great environment with people/coworkers who care about you. Last but not least, I receive all kinds of benefit here, health insurance, dental insurance, holiday bonuses, overtime and the coolest part being a part of this Hilton family is you can travel with team member rates all over the world.”

Vanessa Wilson

Intern

"The Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) offers a professional and personal environment that promotes growth and learning in all departments. When I started at the HGI in 2019 as a Summer Work and Travel J1 student, I was amazed by how warm, welcoming and effective the staff were. I learnt so much about the food and beverage industry in such a short period that sparked my curiosity as I wondered what the other departments offered. Hence after completing my undergraduate degree, I knew I wanted to enhance my career portfolio through meaningful experience and where else to achieve that than the HGI, through their internship program. Which is highly advantageous because we don't only learn technical skills but also soft people skills which can be applied to everyday life situations.”

Intern

"I am proud to be a part of a company with people who genuinely care about each other personally and work together as a team. I am surrounded by a lot of highly driven and successful people who genuinely care about those they work with and the community in which they live. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals revolving around fulfilling company's mission and vision. But most importantly, the company values our feedback. We can voice out our opinion and it is respected which establishes a positive work environment."

Doreen Sambolledo

Intern

“Being a Hilton team member has been a great honor for me. As an intern I have the privilege to rotate to different departments. It gave me plenty of opportunities to gain all the knowledge that I need to pursue a career in hotel management. I’m grateful to be working alongside people that strive to give out the very best service that they can give to our hotel guests. This company gave me the opportunity to come out of my shell and be the best version I can be. I’m very proud to be part of the Hilton family and we will always be at your service!”

Sakina Carter

Intern

“I worked at the Hilton Garden Inn in Summer 2019 as a J1 student, and I had a great experience. I am happy to be back working as an intern. I am learning so much from my internship experience especially since I work in four different departments. This allows me to get a wholesome experience and learn and grow so much in this field. What I appreciate most about working here is how much this establishment takes care of its employees. I am not just having the perks of employee rate at any Hilton property but here at HGI, Kitty Hawk, as employees we are given various forms of rewards for performing well, gifts and other incentives are issued frequently and even subsidized lunches. All these are examples of why I feel blessed to be a part of the HGI Kitty Hawk family.”

Rachel Moore

Intern

“This rotational internship has provided me with lots of hands-on industry experience that I had never thought possible. It has been extremely rewarding to see what each department entails and how each department works together to make a cohesive operation. Each manager goes above and beyond to make sure that I learn as much as I can and challenges me to ask any questions that could benefit myself and/or the company as a whole. The general manager at HGI Kitty Hawk is extremely hands-on and even took time out of his schedule to show us some of the financial data for the hotel. There is something to be said about a company that makes their employees feel truly valued. One thing that has really stood to me is the customer service that each staff member exudes to each and every guest that walks through the door. It is an honor to work with people who live by Hilton's motto of Brighthearted Hospitality and to be a part of this awesome Hilton family. I am forever grateful for this wonderful opportunity!”
