About Us

Home Health Care
Home Health Works, a home health agency based in Clearwater, Florida, provides home health care professionals up to 24 hours a day in any home or facility within Florida’s Pasco and Pinellas counties.

Our home health care professionals include RNs, LPNs, CNAs, home health aides, live-in caregivers, and home companions who provide care to elders desiring to remain living at home as well as to adults temporarily or permanently disabled.

Tailored Care Services
We work with both patient and physician to determine the exact level of home health care needed and then tailor our services to fit those needs. The care provided may be temporary, involving just a few hours a day, to more permanent and full time care.

In fact, we are one of the few home health care agencies in Florida’s Pasco and Pinellas counties offering live-in caregiver services. Whatever your needs, we will provide the care necessary to restore optimum health.

Caring for People Like Family
Home Health Works was started by the Minkoff family more than a decade ago. We believed then, as we do now, that home care should involve more than just nursing attention. We believe that in order to provide the highest quality of home care, we must treat patients like our very own family.

We select only nursing staff who have sincere desires to care and help others, and who have strong backgrounds in providing reliable, loving care. We further train our nurses and aides to see patients as more than just medical situations: our patients become our first priority, as important as our own family members.

Community

Going Beyond Basic Care
Our motto at Home Health Works is “Caring for people like family” because our care goes beyond basic medical tasks and includes family-like love and attention.

Our home health caregivers may do light housekeeping, prepare meals, provide transportation, run errands, schedule appointments, wash dishes, shop for groceries, and more.

Often the most important role of home care is companionship. When the home caregiver becomes a part of your home, he or she assumes the same role as a family member and is supportive of the social and emotional aspects of the patient’s health.

Companionship
Part of the caregiver’s companionship might involve conversing about current events, playing cards, going on scenic drives through nearby parts of Florida, and other activities.

Home health caregivers might accompany patients to church, cultural events, club meetings, or just assist them with evening walks along Florida’s beaches. The home health caregiver will assist the patient with whatever favorite activity he or she likes to do.

An Encouraging Friend
Home care is about more than medical attention. A home care worker is an encouraging friend and companion interested in the patient’s personhood as much as his or her health.

Our staff are the loving caregivers, and we pride ourselves in making our patients part of a family – our family. No one is left alone.

Medical Needs
Of course, depending on the medical care needed, your home health caregiver will also change bandages and linens, help with grooming and personal hygiene, assist with feeding and bathing, remind to take medication, administer infusion therapy, physical therapy, or perform whatever other medical services are appropriate.
