About Us

Founded in 1958, K&M Manufacturing Co., originally K&M Manufacturing and Repair, pioneered with toolboxes and steps, transforming agricultural practices. Our expansion into tractor seats marked the inception of a product line now exceeding 2,500 innovative items, ranging from seats and suspensions to mirrors and warning light systems. Tailored for leading tractor and mower brands, our 32,000 sq. ft. production space and over 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse cater to diverse field needs, reflecting our commitment to innovation and quality since inception.

Building a Legacy

K&M Manufacturing Co., which began as K&M Manufacturing and Repair, was founded in 1958. Our first products were simple toolboxes and steps designed to make a farmers work easier and more productive in the field. In the early 60's K&M expanded the product line to include replacement tractor seats.

From there, the product line has continued to grow to more than 2,500 innovative products like seats, suspensions, steps, mirrors, floor mats, cab foam kits, warning light systems, tool boxes, weight boxes and many more items. Our products are custom built for Allis Chalmers, Case IH, David Brown, Ford, International Harvester, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, Minneapolis Moline, New Holland, Oliver White, Steiger and Versatile tractors and mowers.

The size of K&M has grown to over 32,000 square feet of production space and over 40,000 square feet of warehouse space for materials and finished products.

Community Partnership

K&M provides the opportunity for employees to demonstrate participation through community engagement activities that are meaningful, purposeful, and helps those in need. At the same time, K&M recognizes that participating in these activities will also enrich and inspire the lives of our employees.

The purpose of K&M’s volunteer program is to:

  • Support volunteer activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work
  • Support communities that are impacted by disasters
  • Address issues that impact quality of life

All regular, full-time employees can volunteer for up to 8 hours (1 day) per calendar year with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. More than one organization may be chosen. Employees will be paid at their normal pay rate for the volunteer hours taken. One way in which K&M promotes the use of VTO is through the Adopt a Highway program.

K&M’s 401(k) retirement plan is designed to help you prepare for retirement and attain your financial goals. All K&M employees age 18 and above are eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

 

Employees are eligible to receive matching contributions effective on the first day of the month following 90 days employment.

The thing I liked best here and noticed right away was that you get recognized for the quality of work you do right away. If you are excelling in your position it gets noticed and you are able to advance, not just in your position level but from my experience the pay reflects it as well. I started as an entry-level welder and in I believe a year I was level 3 welder, in less than 3 years I was asked to apply for a supervisor position opening. And now almost 4 years after initial hire I've got almost a year of being fabrication supervisor. Because I work hard and the company noticed and gave me a chance to prove myself.

Ken Meints

I started working for K&M in 2018 in production/assembly and quickly moved to the shipping department. That same year I was promoted to Distribution Center Lead followed by a promotion to my current position as Distribution Cener Supervisor in 2021. My most significant achievement would be being promoted 2 times in a short time. Each promotion came with its own challenges and opportunities to grow in each role. K&M has been a great place to work and grow professionally, the benefits are great from the PTO to retirement benefits.

Brent Dahl

Well this is technically my second round with K&M Manufacturing. I was with K&M back in 2015 and was in love with the company back then. But left and was blessed to be able to come back to K&M as a Material Coordinator where I helped set up the builds for Tillers and log splitters and such along with many other things but then was approached to come back into sales. Now some consider that a promotion and some would consider it a lateral move. I love K&M Manufacturing because in a way I love the products we sell. Knowing after a sale that a customer will get a product that will fit their needs just as much as the OEM but not having to pay the OEM price is the challenge I love to solve. When a customer calls in and is upset because they have machine that needs a seat and they can’t afford to spend hundreds almost thousands of dollars, I have them send me a picture of what they have or describe their machine, I see the seat they need and knowing we have a quality low-cost replacement is what really thrills me. The happy customers that message me back pictures of the new set in their machine is the best feeling.
