Our Story & Our Future!

Since Clifford E. Knudtsen and his brother, Wayne G. Knudtsen, opened the dealership in 1939, we've steadily grown into one of the region's best dealerships, regardless of brand! They set out with a goal to make the Coeur d'Alene area the best place on earth to live, work, and raise a family. Continuing to pursue this goal, Clifford's son, C. Wayne Knudtsen, became the dealer in 1955 and after 40 years at the helm, his daughter Eve, was appointed dealer in 1995. Today, Eve and her daughter, Lauren, operate the business together and remain committed to the reason their family started doing business nearly 85 years ago, by devoting time and resources to the community and engaging with our employees.

We believe that empowering, collaborating with, and recognizing the performance of our team, in conjunction with providing excellent customer service, will allow Knudtsen Auto Group to grow and thrive for at least the next 80 years. Community Involvement

At Knudtsen Auto Group, we strive to be much more than a business. Eve and Lauren have served on the Boards of the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, Idaho Automobile Dealers Association, Coeur d Alene Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Co Chair. They are currently serving on the Boards of the Coeur d’Alene Area Economic Development Corporation, and by appointment to Governor Little’s State of Idaho Economic Development Board. We are partners with our community and as an employee, you will get the chance to give back as well. We care about the things you’re passionate about and partner with many local organizations, charities, and events with the goal of supporting our local community and those in need of a helping hand.
