Our Team

Minot Automotive Company is located in Minot, North Dakota, serving the area of NW North Dakota. In addition to having the largest inventory of new and pre-owned vehicles in the area, our Service Department and Express Lube provide automotive services for all makes and models of vehicles. We have a full detail center and retail parts department on site, as well as wholesale parts sales and delivery to all of western ND and neighboring states. Minot Automotive Company has a great history of providing world class service to our customers and excellent career opportunities for sharp, energetic people. Our History

Minot Chrysler Center was founded in 1989 when the Rydell Group purchased Don Moe Dodge in Minot, ND. The Rydell Group purchases dealerships in order to provide an opportunity for a new individual to become the owner of the dealership, and to live in and be a part of the local community. This allowed Larry Durand to purchase the store in 1991. Larry quickly embraced the Rydell Brand Promises, one of the most important being “One Low Price, Plain and Simple, Always” – which is still in practice today. In 1966, Larry purchased the Toyota franchise to go along with the Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth brands, and the store became known as Minot Chrysler & Toyota Center.

From the start, Larry and his team have strived to make the dealership the best place to buy a new or pre-owned vehicle in NW North Dakota. The team has grown from 25 in 1989 to over 130 employees currently supporting Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram, Fiat and Toyota brands, as well as the Cartiva of Minot and Cartiva Clearance Center locations.

Minot Automotive Company has remained an industry leader for over 25 years, and we will strive to continually improve and grow in the future to meet the needs of our valued customers.

We recognize the greatest resource we have is our employees and we never take that for granted. We strive to fill open positions within our ranks first, creating career paths for many of our employees regardless of where they start in our company.

We are very proud of our culture, which largely comes from being a part of the Rydell Auto Group. The Rydell Auto Group was founded in 1954 and has grown into one of the largest privately held dealership groups in the United States. Our Founder, Leonard Rydell, had many strongly held business and personal philosophies that served him well and help guide us through our daily business and personal decisions.
