Prairie Home Medical Staff
It takes a special person to provide loving and compassionate care for the elderly. We look for employees that have a true interest and heart in serving the aging. Every staff member goes through a screening process, including a criminal background check. All individuals selected for employment at Prairie Home must be of high moral and ethical character, and they must be involved in long-term care because they want to assist the elderly. They must also display a willingness to learn and keep current in the changes required in long-term care.
All Prairie Home Caregivers are CNA or RA certified and work closely with Prairie Home's RN and Facility Director to ensure the highest quality care for each resident. Our staff is committed to continuous improvement and Caregivers are actively involved in continuing education through in-house training supervised by our RN or external Medical training providers. Plus staff is sent out for additional training when necessary. The Prairie Home medical team specializes in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care plus Prairie Home is a recognized clinical training site for the Wisconsin CNA School.
Prairie Home’s entire management team, consisting of state licensed Administrators, Directors, Managers, Shift Supervisors and an on-site RN, work together to regularly monitor each resident. The team collaborates with physicians, therapists and case managers to create an overall health care plan and ensure comprehensive care for each individual.
Prairie Home Assisted Living is a division of Prairie Home Elder Services and works hand-in-hand with HomeAid Health Care, a provider of non-medical home care services. Both companies are owned and operated by John McCarthy and his family and strive to provide excellence in Elder Care. Prairie Home Assisted Living and HomeAid Health Care are based on Christ-centered principals and values which we try to reflect in every aspect of how we minister to our clients and operate our businesses. The family takes personal pride in the service and care provided through Prairie Home Assisted Living and HomeAid Health Care.
When loved ones age and are physically unable to live alone, the effect can be far reaching and traumatic. The Prairie Home mission is to reflect the love of Jesus Christ by helping families address the challenges of aging. The entire Prairie Home Assisted Living staff is dedicated to providing a safe, comfortable environment and loving, personalized care which meet the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of our residents.
