Our Story

We are a third-generation family-owned business taking care of our team members and customers since 1966. Our dealership was started by John B. Prince III in 1966 and since then, the Prince Automotive Group has grown to include 9 franchises in 3 different South Georgia cities.

We believe in taking care of our team members, treating our customers with honesty and respect, and giving back to our communities. We believe having knowledgeable and trained team members combined with a great attitude make for a successful organization. The strength of our business lies within our team and that is evident by the longevity of our team member’s years of service.

Community Partnership

Throughout the years, we have volunteered countless hours to organizations in the communities we serve. Here are just a few of the organizations we have served:

• Valdosta/Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce
• Greater Valdosta United Way
• Lowndes Associated Ministries to People (LAMP), a local homeless shelter
• Wiregrass Technical College

Awards & Recognition

We have won numerous awards through the years including those from our manufacturers for achieving sales & customer satisfaction objectives (GM Mark of Excellence, Toyota President’s Award, and Honda’s Partner in Excellence).

In addition, our dealerships have won the prestigious Time Magazine Dealer of the Year award, the nation’s highest award for an automobile dealership, three times since 1966 including most recently in 2019.

We were also awarded F&I Dealer of the Year by F&I Magazine and Georgia’s Family Business of the Year by Kennesaw State University.

Annually, our dealerships are named as “The Best Place To Buy A New & Preowned Vehicle” by readers of the Albany Herald, Tifton Gazette, and the Valdosta Daily Times.
