Beginning January 2019, Walser will launch expanded paid parental leave benefits. Walser’s paid parental leave will provide paid time off for maternity, paternity, and adoption leave. Walser will also launch the first-ever automotive retail partnership with Care.com.
Women of Walser (WOW) is Walser's first-ever women's resource group. It is WOW's goal to inspire and ramp-up focus on women at Walser while meeting the needs of the marketplaces we serve. WOW is an employee resource group providing diversity accountability through mentoring, networking and professional development events.

When it comes to automotive service—we’ve got the best of the best. In April, Walser Nissan Wayzata Service Specialist Chris Kemp advanced to the Regional competition for the Nissan Service Technician Excellence Competency award. Chris and a select number of service technicians from around the country were tested on their Nissan product knowledge and expert technical skills while working on bugged vehicles. While Chris didn’t take the win, he called it a great experience and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Congrats, Chris!
Walser employees are known to go above and beyond. That couldn’t be truer for Executive Assistant Donna Rizner. For the last six years, Donna and her sister, Vicki, have been keeping Minnesota’s homeless population a little bit warmer with Mittens On A Mission. Each winter, Donna and a team of volunteers sews and distributes over 1,000 mittens to the homeless in downtown Minneapolis. Every pair is re-purposed from old wool sweaters. Their season winds down each spring, but Donna and Mittens on a Mission will be back to keep on giving again this fall.

The Walser Foundation provides grants to organizations that benefit education at all levels, as well as those organizations that help build a strong workforce for the future. Our mission is to increase access to high-quality programs - from pre-K to post-secondary - in the Twin Cities and Wichita communities.
