Nancy Miller

Sales Consultant (Joined 2015)

“After about 20 years as a pastry chef, I had lost my passion for it. I never saw myself helping people buy cars nevertheless I enjoy working with people, so I applied for a sales position, at a different dealership. Being brand new to the job market and the automotive industry, I thought it would beneficial to reach out to a friend I knew from community events.

I contacted Richard, General Manager of White Bear Mitsubishi, as he was in the ‘car business’. I had no idea at the time his position within the company. A couple days after my interview I received a call from him. We talked about how the interview went and my first impressions. Then he asked when I could come and talk with him about my experience and what my goals for the future are.

After first walking in, I knew first hand this was the best place for me. f energy and inviting and everyone was helpful. While I have heard that car dealerships are a place where there is normally a lot of turnover but this place it seems to want to start and stay. We have a lot of fun at work it’s a family. Lots of events and be positively reconsider. The people and customers are cool to help people in all walks of life. It is more than just selling a car it is really helping people. If you like talking with people and having fun at work this would be a great place.

“I used to work in the Physical Fitness Industry and was at my last job for about 12 years. I decided to make a change on my terms. A year prior I talked with Richard Herod III, General Manager, unknowing of his role at the dealership at the time. I checked out other dealerships as I wanted to make sure I was going to align with their culture and business. I didn’t necessarily want to get into the car business, I didn’t think I would be good at selling cars. I wasn’t even a car enthusiast.

There are so many other people here that don’t have the back ground of car sales, but they focus on helping the guest. This place really does have the family environment and people. If someone is sick or family members pass away, we all work together."

“I was a truck driver and proud to say I drove 13-million-miles accident free. It was scary to start a new career and industry at 52 but the way we were treated as a loyal customer I knew I wanted to apply here first. When you walk in and how it is a family feeling, genuine. I actually never thought of selling but I like the people and it has a natural fit.

My favorite core value is: “To be so helpful to be effective for others””

“I initially applied to work here because I knew someone in the sales department. I first met Richard Herod (General Manager) and he was very helpful and resourceful as he wanted to help me make the most informative. I used to sell Neurological Medical Devices for about 10 years, and it got to be far too much travel and just fell out of the enjoyment. It’s a fun place to be and you have an opportunity to thrive. When you start, you get paired up with a sales person to be mentor. It is nice to know you get to know a sound process of getting to know the guest first and then assist with them picking out their vehicle second.”
