A Team Built On Core Values

Our core values are the foundation for our business and dictate our employee and customer interaction. Over the past few years, we have worked with all levels of our staff to develop the following core values in order to be the employer of choice. These are the pillars of success that permeate every level of the organization.

Servant Leadership

Our expectation is that our Managers earn our employee’s respect through servant leadership and lead by example. Leading and showing by example has been the foundation of employee development and is demonstrated by the fact that each of our GMs from Dublin, Fremont, and Concord started with the company as salespeople.

Customers First

Focusing on meeting both our internal and external customer’s expectations is critical to customer retention and profitability. Our unrelenting focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience allows us to bolster our relationships that are imperative to success.

Professionalism

We are committed to a professional and enriching culture that makes our dealerships an enjoyable and trustworthy place for our employees, customers, and vendors.

Transparency & Social Responsibility

We believe that transparency is an essential building block for impactful corporate health. Displaying transparency while we build social capital with our community positively affects consumer trust and attitudes toward our organization.

Will to Win

We are in it to win it. Our competitive culture is driven by integrity, accountability and hard work. We push our staff to win and celebrate collectively when we do. When we don’t, we have a collaborative process to make adjustments to get things back on the right track.

Jack Mahal

"In 2012, having just graduated with a Bachelor’s in accounting, I had the choice to study to become a CPA or find something else to do. I quickly realized that I did not have the means to devote myself to studying and passing the CPA. That is when I decided I would first work and then I could start a career for myself.

I remember joining Dublin Auto Group like it was yesterday, I was given the opportunity to sell cars at Dublin Cadillac. I never envisioned myself in the car business. Surprisingly, I did very well from the start. I was promoted to an Internet Sales Manager and then Finance Manager rather quickly. I realized then that I found my niche or my calling. I decided that this is where I belonged and began to develop a career here.

As time passed, I became General Sales Manager of Dublin Cadillac and was given the opportunity to attend NADA Dealer Academy. I now manage Dublin Infiniti as General Manager. I could not be prouder to be a part of this dealer group. When I look back at the young car salesman on the lot that started on a hot summer day in 2012, and now I see myself as a General Manager in 2019, I am amazed. I am humbled and gracious for my successful journey. This group welcomed me with open arms and gave me a clear career path to follow and I am very thankful to work for a group that rewards hard work and talent."

Kash Rana

"My name is Kashif “Kash” Rana, born in Pakistan and raised in the East Bay Area. Life was never easy for me. At the age of 18 years old, I started in the automotive industry as a sales consultant. I wasn’t sure what road lay ahead of me, but I kept pushing forward.

In 2008, I was transferred to the Dublin GM Auto group. I came to Dublin as a sales consultant and worked my way up to become an internet manager.I needed more of a challenge so I decided to pursue the next level, as a finance manager and in June 2012, I was given the opportunity.

Being a finance manager exposed me to a different avenue of the car industry. After 6 years of finance, it was time again to keep pushing myself up the management ladder. I currently hold the title of a General Sales Manager at Dublin Cadillac which is the same dealership I started as a sales consultant.

The moral of my success story is “BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, ALWAYS KEEP PUSHING AND NEVER GIVE UP”."

"I’ve been with the organization for over ten years. I started with Fremont Chevrolet as a Cashier in October 2008. Within 3 years I was promoted to Lead Cashier.

In January 2013; I was promoted to Customer Relations Manager where I enjoyed working with the managers to help improve and build customer rapport. I also would coordinate customer & employee appreciation luncheons events.

In July 2016 I was promoted again to our corporate office as an HR/Payroll Clerk. We have a great team of employees working here within the corporation. We are like a growing family and it’s nice to be a part of a place that has room for advancement and really values and appreciates its employees. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for our group."

Joe Mesa

"My career started 13 years ago. Before coming into the car business, I was washing cars and working in warehouse trying to survive. An old friend said I had potential and should try out the car business. He mentioned the sky was the limit. He offered to pay for my sales license and live scan to get me started. I got my license and searched for a job. Toyota gave me a chance! I was young but hungry, in my 1st two weeks I had lots of success and was leading the board after my 1st year. I was given a chance to go Nissan and keep developing my skills towards finance. I then got offered an opportunity in finance, working with Inder Dosanjh group at Dublin GMC. They sent me to finance school and trained me to be a successful finance manager for a few years. I learned and cultivated with the group and they created a path for me to soon become a sales manager. It was a great system of support and training that developed me in so many great ways as a professional.

After a few years of success as a sales manager they continued to promote me to be a General sales manager. This was a dream come true staying committed to the process and staying the course was key into me building me up. The story doesn’t end here. One day I will be going to dealer school and continue growing. This is always a dream as a car professional and there are giving me that opportunity. Inder and the California automotive group has helped me beyond what one could imagine."

Michele Milo

"I have been working with California Automotive Retailing Group, Inc. for 7 years so far. The opportunities to grow & succeed have been rewarding. Starting at Concord Chevrolet as a part-time Cashier turned into a position as Inder Dosanjh’s Executive Assistant. This then led me to work as a Payroll Clerk for over 3 years. My current position is the AP/AR Clerk in the Dublin Business Office.

I’ve become part of a family. Some may say that’s difficult to do when over 700 are employed. However, The Dosanjh Family has been a great support to my family & myself when we’ve been up against life challenges. Never did I see myself making a career in the automotive industry, but I’m happy I have!"

Employee Success Stories

Kevin Rodriguez

"Kevin Rodriguez came to us in 2017 from College of Alameda. He thought it would be just a summer job and go back to school in the fall. He started out as a parts delivery driver. Very soon Kevin moved inside to work in the shipping and receiving department to help out. Then Kevin became the head of shipping and receiving. He spent many days working by himself. Kevin always comes in early and stays late to make sure everything done.

Kevin is always there to help everyone. He has trained countless number of employees to do this most important job and now is being trained for his next level in the company to start working the parts sales counters. We always can lean on him for help and do not know what we would do without him. Kevin is truly our parts department hero."
