Carland Auto Group's History

The Carland Group has been serving Georgia for over 45 years and is owned by Richard “Buck” Woodruff. Because of this success with Honda, Buck, has owned many Honda dealerships in the Atlanta area.  Buck was awarded a new Honda dealership at Mall of Georgia in 2000, and took a partner in that store.   Lanier Honda operated for many successful years until it was sold to the Penske Auto Group in 2005.

Over the past 45 years, The Carland Group has sold over 300,000 vehicles to generations of happy customers.

Children who once remember riding in their parents’ new Carland vehicles have bought themselves many new Carland vehicles over the years, as have their children and now their grandchildren. Buck continues to own their building and real estate where Mall of Georgia Honda is today.  Buck also owned Honda Carland of Cartersville for many successful years.  Because of the growth in the Alpharetta and Johns Creek area over the past 15 years, Honda asked Buck to build a state-of-the-art stand-alone Honda service center to make it convenient for all our happy customers to care for their Hondas.  Honda Carland Service Center in Alpharetta, GA was opened in 2001, and services many happy Honda owners daily.
