The company is the brainchild of Scott McKenzie, who became passionate about the home care industry after witnessing it’s value first hand, caring for his grandmother and appreciating the value of quality care received within the domestic environment. Sadly, Scott’s beloved grandmother was later transferred to a nursing home beyond his control where she received substandard care, passing away shortly thereafter. Our founder’s firsthand experience was a catalyst for his commitment to helping elderly people enjoy high quality care within their own homes for as long as possible.

Julieann is a caring and outgoing mother of two beautiful children. She translates the powerful love of a mother to her role as a caregiver; treating her clients to friendly, compassionate and professional service. She genuinely cares about people as is shown by her commitment to provide professional companion care service. As an Office Concierge and an all-around people person, she draws on her strong communication and service skills to create a warm and loving environment for her clients.
Julieann cites her parents as her greatest influencers in life. “They were the kind of people that talk to everybody. They were very friendly & most constant. They’d take life to the fullest every single day.” Julieann loves to draw lessons from each experience. Four years ago, she was involved in a road accident; a traumatic experience that changed her perspective on life. It was a bitter- sweet moment because it opened new doors to better beginnings. She utilises each moment, lives life to the fullest and does not take anything for granted.
Danielle has been with Golden Age Companions since November 2017. As the Home Care Liaison for GAC she is responsible for overseeing client services that include management, logistics, and coordination.
She is known for her hospitality, patience and genuine character. She draws her daily motivation from a deep desire to help others; a desire that led her to pursue further education and holds a Masters Degree in Public Health- Community Education and Health Promotion.
