Ray Ferwerda Sr. founded Great Southern Equipment in 1960 when Florida was rapidly expanding, and he saw an opportunity to be a part of that growth by providing construction and road building equipment, parts and service. Today, his son, Ray Ferwerda Jr., is now in charge of the business. With a seventh location opened in 2017, Ray Jr. continues the legacy that his father began by building lasting relationships with contractors and municipalities throughout Florida.
