Hudson Automotive Core Values

Hudson Automotive in the Community

Hudson Automotive in the Community

Our Honda Kingsport team helps those in need including helping with someone’s home in need of repair. The home owner was not able physically or financially keep their house in order. Our Honda Kingpsort team came together, painted, repaired and replaced doors, repaired and a roof, replaced light fixtures, replaced gutters, pressure washed, and made a huge difference in the life of a family.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Gastonia Nissan is proud to offer FREE mammograms for women in our community who have no insurance. Every year since 2013, we invite CaroMont Health’s Mobile Mammography coach, also known as the Big Pink Bus, to partner with us and provide the technology for early detection and awareness. Although it’s a positive event, there can be some stress and anxiety surrounding it for some women so, we provide a day of pampering including gift bags, chair massage, healthy snacks and Pink everywhere you look!

Fill the Frontier

Fill the Frontier

Our annual Fill the Frontier event is held every August through September, with the goal of collecting school supplies for kids and teachers in our Gaston County School System. Many families struggle to provide even basic school supplies for their children every Fall, not to mention many teachers diving into their own pockets to help give their students what they need. Paper, pencils, notebooks, hand sanitizer, Kleenex, backpacks and more are donated by customers, folks in the community and our own employees to make an impact in the life of a child. Started in 2014 by our Managing Partner, Jeff Viner and his wife Linda, this event is a favorite every year because who doesn’t remember the joy of a new pack of crayons when you started school!

American Heart Month

American Heart Month

February is the month of love and quite appropriately, American Heart Month. At Gastonia Nissan, we help shine the light on how people can take care of their heart by providing FREE screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose screening! CaroMont Health does the various screenings and counseling and while this event is geared towards women, we know that heart disease is an equal opportunity offender, so any gentlemen who comes in can get screened as well. A festive atmosphere abounds, where Red is the color of the day and literature, grab-n-go snacks, a chef preparing healthy meals, and women are pampered and encouraged to know their numbers. This important event has been a staple at the dealership since February 2015.

Lung Force: Lung Cancer Awareness

Lung Force: Lung Cancer Awareness

Anyone can get lung cancer…if you have lungs, you are a candidate. Lung Force is a movement led by the American Lung Association to unite women in the fight against lung cancer and for lung health. This is a disease that hit close to our Gastonia Nissan family in 2017 and has become an important initiative and opportunity to bring awareness to the community at large. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and turquoise is the color of the month!

BackPack Weekend Food Program

BackPack Weekend Food Program

The BackPack Weekend Food Program provides children in need with a backpack of nonperishable, individually-portioned, nutritionally-balanced food to take home on the weekend when school meals are not available.” Can you imagine not having food to eat on the weekends, then expected to show up Monday morning ready to learn? We can’t and we were shocked to learn the sheer numbers of children affected by poverty, right here in our community. After many years of providing school supplies with our Fill the Frontier Event, it seemed a natural transition to partner in 2018 with this program to help provide food for some of those same students. Having the right school supplies doesn’t do much good if you can’t concentrate because of hunger. That certainly isn’t a winning formula for learning! “Dining at the Chef’s Table” is one of the ways we help and our Managing Partner, Jeff Viner has been a Celebrity Server for the past two years! We are looking for additional ways to partner with this incredibly vital program to make a difference in our community.

Kingsport Park Project

Our Team

The Castle Playground has been a part of Kingsport for decades and a destination for family time for generations. After a quarter-century, the iconic wooden structure had reached the end of its expected life. The construction of the reimagined Castle Playground, was constructed by our community and for our community. Through hundreds of volunteers, including the Honda Kingsport Team, this project was started and finished in under a week.

Other community partners...

We work with many other organizations within on our communities, like Toys for Tots and the Lexington Cancer Foundation, just to name a few!
