HISTORY

Founded in 1972 by Lou Robustelli and his wife Terry, the Jersey Equipment Sales Company, now known as JESCO, had one of the most important elements for success from the start, experience in the construction industry. With deep roots in contracting, Lou Robustelli fully understood the equipment he was selling, was completely able to relate to a contractors’ needs from the type of product to the service and support that would be required by customers.

 



 

FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED

From their roots as a small equipment dealership, to their position today as an award-winning John Deere dealer and one of New Jersey’s equipment dealerships, one thing has always remained consistent at JESCO — its family-owned and operated. Today, JESCO is led by Jon Robustelli, who took the reigns as President of the company in 2005. Under his leadership, JESCO has grown to include thirteen branch locations in five states. 

 



BUILDING A LEGACY

JESCO began with a modest 19 employees their first year in business. Currently, the company employs more than 330 employees and still growing. JESCO is built around people; people who can help our customers make the right decisions. We have a steadfast focus on customer service, that’s why we adopted the slogan ‘The Down to Earth Equipment People’. JESCO is not only dedicated to their customers and employees, but also to making a difference in the communities in which we operate.

“I started at JESCO in December 2009 when we purchased the Beacon, NY facility from Nortrax Northeast. I was the Parts Manager in the location at the time. In July 2018, I accepted a promotion to Regional Parts Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region. I moved to Maryland to perform the duties of the new position.

I enjoy the family atmosphere at JESCO and the trust that was given to me right from the beginning by the owner and senior managers. I have been included on several teams to improve the company’s profitability and hiring process. I am honored to be on these teams and will improve JESCO’s “policies or procedures” in the future. What I enjoy most at JESCO is family atmosphere where we support each other to grow in our respective roles. When there is a concern in one location, we come together as a team to find the right solution.”

“I was hired in 1984 as a shipping and receiving clerk and was quickly promoted to a warehouseman at our South Plainfield location.

After a few years I received a promotion as a Parts Advisor that quickly grew into a Parts Manager role which morphed into my current position as a Regional Parts Manager for our North East Branches.

I can honestly say, that the past 35 years of working at JESCO has been a great experience. “I started with JESCO in 1985 as a Parts Warehouseman and had various responsibilities within the Shipping and Receiving department. Thereafter, I received my first promotion to Service Manager and after a few years became Equipment Manager. The knowledge and experience I gained within the service and equipment departments positioned me to advance my career to my current position as a JESCO Technical Advisor Communication (JTAC) Technical Analyst.

JESCO is a family owned business with a very supportive environment. When I started, the environment was so supportive, everyone pulled together to share their knowledge and now I find myself carrying out that same tradition with the new employees, forging great bonds and long lasting friendships.”
