Culligan/Kaat's Water Conditioning, Inc. of Wisconsin & Michigan has a total of 4 stores that provide and service the communities surrounding them with the finest Culligan products. William J. Van Allen originally started this Culligan franchise in 1948 servicing the Sheboygan County area. Richard G. Kaat was employed by Mr. Van Allen in 1968 as Sales Manager and subsequently purchased the business from Mr. Van Allen in 1973.
The company grew and in 1979 a new plant was built at the current location 133 Stafford Street, Plymouth WI 53073, replacing the previous garage allowing for continued growth. In 1981 the dealership in Manitowoc became available and Mr. Kaat purchased it which added Manitowoc, Calumet and Kewaunee Counties. Continued growth, quality of service and stability have been the trademark of the company since it’s inception and consequently it was awarded the Circle of Excellence by the national headquarters, Culligan International, several times.
Since then, Kaat's Water Conditioning has purchased assets in Plymouth, Manitowoc, Appleton and Kaukauna, WI. We've also purchased assets outside of Wisconsin in Grand Rapids and Muskegon in Michigan. As we grow, you grow! Take a look at our open positions on the Careers page and apply today!
