“When I first started at Martin Landscape I didn’t know what to expect. As I continued to work here I saw that hard work would move you up in the company. One thing that makes it easy to work at Martin Landscape is that if you work hard you will be rewarded.” – Tony Washington
“I have been with Martin Landscape almost seven years total. I am currently the project manager at Martin Landscape. I worked for Martin for 3 years in the past as an irrigation technician. I moved away for about 3 years and took a job as a plantation manager in Townsend, GA. After deciding to move back home, I never applied to look for a job anywhere else. In fact, my wife asked “We are moving in two weeks, have you applied for any jobs?” My answer was quick and stern and said “No, I am going back to Martin.” After our conversation, I called the owner of the company and asked him if he would reconsider my position. His answer was quick and stern, “absolutely”. August will be four years since I have returned. I started as an irrigation technician, the same position as before I left. Some things had changed in the 3 years that I was gone. The shop was in a new location, the company had new equipment and the size of the company was much larger than before. I could immediately tell that the company was moving in the right direction. I saw the opportunity to grow with this company. I have worked hard to improve myself and advance my career to justify where I am today. When people ask me why I work for Martin, I always reply "because it feels like family." I spend just as much time at work as I do at home, if not more. Our professional relationships make the job easier and the days feel shorter. The real reason I work for Martin Landscape is because I love what I do. I am very passionate about my career and take pride in the work that is completed. I do not do this job alone, nor would I be successful without the teamwork of others." – Dustin Chavers
“When I first started at Martin Landscape I was a team leader, and I knew that this is where I wanted to pursue my career. I love the core values that they teach you if it’s not aleady in your blood: Passion, Pride, Teamwork, and Relationships. They also teach you how to be the best at landscape and how to be the best you. It’s like everyone -- from the managers to the employees -- is like family. I was a crew leader, and then I was asked to be the mow man and that was great. I have worked hard to be promoted to the field operational manager. I have been employed at Martin Landscape for all most six years, and this is the best company ever! We also have team of the month to award the crews as well, and it gets more exciting when you come and join us! You will love to come work with us here at Martin Landscape.” – Andre Grant
“I started back on December 8th 2015. During my hire interview, I was asked "What do you want out of this company?" I replied "I want a collared shirt." At the time, only the managers and office personnel wore shirts with collars. From that day forward, I have been self-motivated and have taken pride in all that I do. I've been promoted from a entry level construction crew member, to an installation crew member, to an irrigation crew member, to a mow man, to a crew member and then to a crew leader, and up to a Chemical Applicator/Spray Technician. My newest movement is to the company-wide position of Safety Manager. My point is that if you take pride and have a passion for what you do, then the right doors will open for you here at Martin Landscape. There have been trying times for myself and I've been offered jobs by other companies while I have been at work. But the truth is Martin Landscape is a great company for me. Being self-motivated and taking the initiative to further myself as best as I can for the betterment of myself and for the company...that’s what it's about. Teamwork. This line of work is not for everyone but it has its own rewards for those that have a passion for maintaining a property and at the end of the day or workweek, they can stand there and proudly say "I did that." Countless times I stop and just look at what all I have done and how far I have come within the company. It's a feeling of accomplishment both for the property and for my personal growth in the company.” – Brian Mills
“I've had many different jobs in my life. I've made a lot of money. I've driven expensive & luxurious vehicles. I've made a living off sitting at home playing video games. I've always had just a job. I had been doing landscaping, professionally, for nearly six years total & three years before joining the Martin team. From the first day I started with Martin, it just felt different. Even with my past experience I remained open-minded because there is always something new to learn. I could see, almost immediately, that being here could be something great. Not just a job, but a career. I'll admit it isn't easy, and it will break you if you let it. Work hard, & make yourself eager to want to learn more. Take what you learn, stay focused, & apply it to your work. Martin Landscape is ever-growing & has many opportunities, if you're willing to learn and work hard. I always want to learn more because knowledge is an essential key to success. I hope to one day be a manager, leader, & role model for this company. I love being part of Martin Landscape. I love what I do. "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
You should take PRIDE in everything you do. You should have PASSION for the work that you do every day. The work you produce is providing for you, & your loved ones. Work as a team & build RELATIONSHIPS with everyone around you. Work together to accomplish all tasks, big or small. TEAMWORK makes life easier. Be part of Martin landscape, & let's build together.” – Jackson Huff
