Salvation’s Army (Angel Tree & Red Kettle)

The Salvation Army has been many things over the years as communities’ needs have changed over the years, but today, the focus of the Nashville Salvation Army is to fight poverty and prevent homelessness in our community through a myriad of comprehensive programs designed to bring a holistic approach to the individual’s or family’s needs.
Our team is able to help over 70 families a year through the Angel Tree program at Christmas time. We also have a ton of fun standing at local shops and ringing the bell as a part of the Red Kettle Challenge here in Middle TN.

Nashville Rescue Mission (Kitchen Volunteer & Turkey Fry)

Following God's command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life degrading problems. Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.
Throughout the year we take the opportunity to serve the homeless in food service at the main campus kitchen. We also get the chance to help fry over 1000 turkeys each year at Thanksgiving for those that will come through their door.

Night Light Tulsa

Night Light Tulsa is a weekly outreach event In downtown Tulsa that builds relationships between Tulsa's homeless population, lower income families, and the surrounding community. Each Thursday evening we meet our guests under the IDL bridge. As a volunteer you will serve in one of many areas. We offer a warm meal, clothing, essential items, books, foot washing, a kids zone, hosting, etc. Through these stations relationships are formed, and barriers are broken down. Our hope is that our guests will know they are important and cared for and our mission to love individuals, give hope, and touch souls, is carried out.
Our team regularly gets the opportunity to serve alongside other community members on these Thursday nights. It has become one of the great parts about many employees’ experiences!

Norman Food & Shelter

The mission of Food and Shelter is very simple. We feed those who are hungry and wrap our arms around the lost and alone, helping them find their way back home. We believe no person can overcome life's most difficult obstacles if they are hungry and worried constantly about where they will sleep. The services we provide are the most basic needs of a human being; food and shelter. Women, children and men come for food and shelter. They leave with friends, a support system, and acceptance. They find home.
Every quarter we take the opportunity to head to Food & Shelter to serve meals, clean the kitchen, support the office staff, and do maintenance projects.
