The Royal Motor Sales dealerships began in 1947, when Walter Anderson started a body shop and opened a pre-owned car sales center in San Francisco, CA. Walter Anderson, In 1956, acquired the Volvo franchise. Royal was one of the first Volvo dealers in the country. Royal Auto Group now has four automotive dealerships and a state of the art collision center in San Francisco. The dealership franchises include: Audi, VW, Volvo, and Mazda. In a typical year, the valued team members at Royal sold over 4,000 new and pre-owned cars and serviced more than 40,000. Our company history reinforces the importance of the cornerstone foundations of our business and success, which are: Integrity, Efficiency, Hard Word, Customer Service, and Loyalty. They are our trademarks and our team's way of doing business.
