Building a Legacy

Volz Auto Group was founded in 1971 by William R. Volz and William V. Bruno with one location: Meadowland Chrysler Plymouth, Inc. in Carmel, New York. Over the years, Bill and Barbara Volz purchased additional property at the route 6 site. Bill Bruno decided to pursue other interests and Bill Volz bought out his interest in the dealership business. In 1977, Dodge was added to the franchises at the Carmel property. 


Timeline of Volz Auto Group's Success

-- In 1982, Barbara Barr Volz purchased Brewster Ford. Barbara was the first female owner in the New York region for Ford Motor Company.

-- In 1991, Bill, Barbara and Bob Volz urchased Pontiac and GMC and added them to the existing franchises at Meadowland of Carmel.

-- In 2005, we added to our family of dealerships with the purchase of two dealerships, Salerno Chrysler Dodge and Lazars Jeep GMC, and combined to create Bill Volz's Westchester Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

-- In 2011, the Jeep franchise was added to the Meadowland facility on Carmel, NY.

-- In 2019, both Bill Volz's Westchester & Meadowland of Carmel achieved Customer 1st Award for Excellence for 2018.
