Wood Motor Company operates Chevrolet, Nissan, Ford, and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships across Northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri. It’s a family owned company operating since 1971 and is currently operated by Chip Johnson. Chip took over the company in April of 2018. After he received his undergrad and MBA from the U of A, he went on to consulting and multiple roles inside of IBM over 13 years and was one of five executives in charge of their Artificial Intelligence and cloud business in North America. He’s led a 200% growth in earnings of Chevrolet and Nissan franchises in his first year of being President and he went out and acquired a Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealerships in NWA.
He is not your average dealer; he brings a much different investment and operating philosophy to the car business from his years in the technology industry. This is a good industry, and Wood Motor Company needs educated leaders because we are not done making acquisitions and we need to grow our pipeline of leaders and differentiate. We are breaking the average car salesman's pay plan mold + training model giving top college educated talent the ability to get to 100,000 in 3 years by being more than just a salesperson.
