Building a Legacy

Our company is unique in that we are a retail store with the ultimate goal of customer retention; we are not only interested in selling quality vehicles, parts, and service. We need our customers to have a pleasant purchase experience so that they come to us when their vehicles require repair, or they wish to purchase something else. To keep with this goal, we strive to have employees that can support that. Length of service at our company is extraordinarily high. We keep our employees happy because happy employees create happy customers. We provide ongoing training and love to promote from within.

Community Involvement

Fred Martin Auto Group sponsors a variety of local organizations; we like for our customers and employees to see that we care about them and our surrounding communities.

Beginning in 1995 when a stray dog ran into the showroom of Fred Martin Superstore, then Owner and President, Mr. Paul Martin, began his relationship with the Humane Society of Summit County.  He began paying the food bill for the entire shelter that year, a tradition we have carried on for over 25 years.  We support the Humane Society through the year by featuring them on our Saturday show, Fred Martin Superstore's Car Connection, and we host their Mobile Adoption Unit periodically.

Comptroller Margaret Kinsinger is the founder of the not for profit rescue organization “Feed, Spay, Love,”  an animal rescue in the Akron area that works to nurse animals back to health and place them in loving homes. They also trap, neuter, and release feral cats back into the wild.  They are completely funded by donations, and every dollar goes towards continuing rescue and treatment efforts for animals that may otherwise go unassisted.

Fred Martin Auto Group has provided 20 vehicles over the last 20 years for in local Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) programs.  Most recently, we donated a new 2019 Ram Big Horn 4×4, with a 5.7L Hemi engine, and an 8-speed automatic transmission, to the Summit County Sheriff Department for use in their D.A.R.E. program. The pick-up is a fully functional Police vehicle with custom decals and lettering.

In 2016 we became involved with ACCESS, Inc., a homeless women and children’s shelter in Akron. They work with mothers in need to provide them education and work training so that they may better provide for their children.  Every year since we have been the Platinum Sponsor for their wildly popular event "The Jewelry Box".  Gently used jewelry is professionally displayed and every piece is $5 during this well-attended weekend event that takes place annually in November.

We also support the following: Toys for Tots, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Barberton Summer Concert Series, American Red Cross, Akron Children’s Hospital, Barberton Sparkles-an all-inclusive cheer squad, and several location youth sports organizations.

Fred Martin Auto Group is always interested in highlighting new local charities and businesses in our surrounding community on social media and on "The Car Connection."  We encourage employees to be involved in charitable organizations they are passionate about, and we have participated as sponsors in causes and events they are involved with.
