Our History
Poway Auto Group was opened in November of 2001 when Mark and Stephen Abelkop obtained the Poway Franchise. When the store opened at for business at 13864 Poway Rd. they had 5 employees. In 2004 they added the Hyundai franchise and soon after that purchased the property at 13910 Poway Rd. and built a state of the art showroom and service department for Hyundai. In 2012 they added the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram franchises and they are located across Poway Rd. at 13811 Poway Rd. The Auto Group now has over 100 employees. Mark and Stephen Abelkop believe in promoting from within the organization so most of the employees who have moved into management began their employment in entry level positions with the company.
